Our teachers for the training: EU Case Law for DPO Practice
Court of Justice of the European Union rulings translated into day-to-day DPO practice
This course provides an in-depth overview of the rulings of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) that are decisive for organisations’ data protection policies. Both historical and recent cases are discussed, and their impact on GDPR compliance is analysed.
Tim Van Canneyt selects the rulings with a direct impact on DPO practice. Using practical case studies, typical DPO challenges are developed and presented to participants. These challenges help identify risk and problem areas, after which participants work towards solutions based on insights derived from relevant case law.
This course is indispensable for DPOs and privacy professionals who aim to support their organisations in navigating complex legal landscapes, where the role of the DPO is becoming increasingly critical in ensuring compliance and protecting personal data.
Why take this course
Over the years, the CJEU has issued numerous rulings that have fundamentally reshaped the application and interpretation of the GDPR. For any DPO or privacy professional, staying fully informed of these developments is essential to effectively support organisations in implementing compliant data protection policies.
The course offers both a retrospective view of landmark decisions and an in-depth analysis of the most recent case law. All rulings covered during the training have been carefully selected based on their relevance and impact on the advisory practice of the DPO.
