Stay Tuned as a DPO or as a privacy professional. This formula* offers the ideal opportunity to keep yourself up to date in the world of the GDPR. Every quarter we organize a whole day full of interesting topics at different locations. With this subscription formula you get 4 training days in one year. Each training day is taught by 2 speakers who each look at the recent GDPR decisions from their perspective. Each speaker is a top expert in his or her field.

In the morning we take a legal look at what has happened in the field of the GDPR in the past 3 months and we zoom in on some new legal aspects of the legislation.

In the afternoon we focus on the practical implementation and management of data protection in the organization, also responding to some technical trends and novelties.

In this way you get a unique opportunity to keep your technical, organizational and legal knowledge up to date. In addition to the theoretical aspect, attention is also always paid to the practical part.

By spreading the updates over 4 sessions per year, each on different locations (Ghent (NL), Elewijt (NL), Berchem (NL), Nivelles (FR), Brussels (FR)) you get the chance to follow the updates at a place, time and language that suits you. (Note: English sessions to be determined)

Why take this course?

• You have completed the basic DPO training, but are interested to know more;
• You do not have the time to follow up on all important developments in the context of the GDPR;
• You wish to be constantly informed of what is going on in the world of the GDPR.

Target group

This course is aimed at DPOs, lawyers and privacy managers. Participants in this training must have at least a basic knowledge of the most important principles of the GDPR, as covered in the DPO certification training.

Learning goals

• Staying informed about the most recent changes to the GDPR legislation;
• Taking note of the decisions of the Belgian DPA of the last 3 months;
• Getting an overview of what the regulators in other European countries have decided, such as fines issued;
• Keeping your technical knowledge up to date on certain GDPR-related aspects, such as e.g. cookies, cloud applications, …

Didactic approach of this training

This training takes place in a training room in a hotel at different locations (Ghent (NL), Elewijt (NL), Berchem (NL), Nivelles (FR), Brussels (FR)). One of the Dutch and French sessions is also live broadcasted and recorded for future reference on our digital learning platform.

Each training day is taught by 2 speakers who each look at the recent GDPR decisions from their perspective. Each speaker is a top expert in his or her field.

During the explanation there is interaction with the group.

Each student receives a printed version of the training material with space for making notes. In addition, all presentations, supporting documentation and recordings are made available on our digital learning platform.

End product

This course does not include an exam. The student receives a certificate of attendance after having followed 4 sessions per year.

Prerequisites: DPO certification or an introductory GDPR course.

This formula entitles the holder to four one-day courses, to be followed in four consecutive quarters in a language of choice (NL/FR – English sessions to be determined) and at a location of choice (Ghent/Elewijt/Berchem/Nivelles/Brussels). This subscription is automatically renewed after one year, unless the holder proactively cancels it one month before the end of the subscription at the latest.
