This two-day course is the ideal introduction to data protection and goes over the main terms of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) from a Data Protection Officer’s point of view. After this course, you will understand the role of the DPO and the impact of GDPR on companies and organizations that process personal data. Would you like to immerse yourself in the GDPR for two days? Then don’t miss this course. The course is worth 14 CPE credits.

You can also take this course in French or in Dutch.

Target group

This two-day course is aimed at both external consultants and internal staff (such as information security managers, compliance managers, security managers, lawyers, corporate lawyers, auditors, IT managers, risk managers, controllers, data managers, and IT specialists) who want a basic knowledge of current data privacy issues and recent European and Belgian data protection legislation.

  • To know the principles of the GDPR.
  • To know the rights of the data subjects.
  • To know the function of the DPO (Data Protection Officer).

Educational approach of this course

This course is organized in a classroom in a hotel. You can also take this course in French or in Dutch.

It is given by instructors who are leading experts in their field and who present the subject matter interactively.

Groups taking this course typically comprise around 20 students (minimum 8, maximum 24 course participants).

Each course participant receives a printed version of the course materials with some space to make notes if needed. The information is also made available in a digital learning environment and instructors provide practical examples.

End product

Course participants are not able to take an examination but are issued a certificate of attendance. A knowledge test is available on the learning platform.
